      My name is Sarah, I am a vocational specialist and recently started working with a couple clients that are part of the Deaf community. Hearing the perspective of the speaker was really powerful and gave me some more ideas about how to better advocate for my clients.

        I have found that an interpreter is not always easy to get at a last minutes notice so for one of my clients, we use his phone interpreter as a resource. Of course, we always try our hardest to get an in-person interpreter but when an interview comes up and the interpreter is not available, this is a good resource.
